I just thought I'd add one photo to start things off of me with my rascals from after-school program. We were busy with flashcards. I do hope they're all having wonderful days this summer.

First Day
Today is the Fourth of July! I am marinating portabellas and making potato salad and wishing my husband didn't have to work. Thank goodness for friends nearby. A small gathering will be nice this afternoon, but I wish I could have a few cold beers...not till next summer!
So, I'm officially re-starting a blog for family and friends to keep up to date on our family developments. I started a blog years ago, but I hated the format so I think I'll give blogspot a try. Hopefully I'll learn how to upload photos as well as those greatly add to blog-life. It's about time that I start my own blog as I have a daily list of others' blogs that I read and their musings always get the wheels in my head rolling. So, here we are. I say "we" because Stephen's life will be told through this as well as the life of our baby-on-the-way! I'll try my best to give frequent updates on our comings/goings/musings as our family far away needs to feel connected!
On another note, I must say this whole pregnancy thing is teaching me a lot about myself and my ever-fluctuating emotions. It's also clarifying just how strongly optimistic my husband is. I can't imagine doing this on my own. His support and careful concern for all of my fears, joys, etc. is something I do not take for granted. It's just so strange to have this baby growing with you, while not knowing how he/she is doing inside! I just have to trust that I'm doing the right things and making the right choices for the little bugger. More updates to come...
